Delivery & Lead Times

Delivery is straightforward and handled by experienced pallet couriers — most customers find the process simple once they understand how it works.

Wood fired hot tubs are delivered across the UK using the pallet courier network. Because these are large, heavy products, it is important to understand how delivery works, what access is required and what preparation is needed before your hot tub arrives.

This guide explains the process clearly so you know exactly what to expect before ordering.

How Delivery Works

All hot tubs are delivered on a pallet via kerbside courier. We work with trusted UK pallet delivery networks experienced in handling large, heavy items safely.

The delivery vehicle is equipped with a tail lift, allowing the pallet to be safely lowered from the lorry to ground level. The driver will then move the pallet using a pallet pump truck to the nearest accessible point, usually a driveway or other suitable hard standing area. From this point, the hot tub will need to be moved into its final position by the customer.

Access Requirements

Before ordering, please make sure there is suitable access for a pallet delivery.

You should check:

  • the width of any gates or side access, generally at least 110cm-120cm clearance is ideal.
  • whether the driveway or access route is firm and level enough for a pallet truck
  • whether there are steps, steep slopes, gravel or uneven ground that would prevent pallet movement
  • whether the final hot tub location can realistically be reached after delivery

If pallet access is not possible, a crane lift may be required.

For larger models such as the Ember XL Wood Fired Hot Tub, access planning is especially important.

Moving the Hot Tub Into Position

Once delivered, customers are responsible for moving the hot tub from the pallet drop point into its final position.

In most cases, we recommend having at least 3–4 capable adults available to help lift or guide the tub safely into place.

If access is difficult or the route includes obstacles, steps or tight spaces, you may need to arrange a professional crane lift or specialist moving assistance.

Planning this in advance helps avoid delays and ensures delivery day runs smoothly.

Lead Times

Typical lead time for our wood fired hot tubs is 3–5 weeks.

Lead times may vary depending on model, specification and production schedules, particularly for tubs with optional upgrades or higher-specification features.

Delivery FAQ's

Can the hot tub be moved through a side gate?

This depends on the width of your access. Most standard gates are too narrow once the hot tub is on its pallet. We recommend checking all access points carefully before ordering, but you will typically need at least 110cm clearance.

How heavy is the hot tub?

Our wood fired hot tubs are large, solid units and can weigh several hundred kilograms. Because of this, planning access and movement is essential before delivery.

Can I move the hot tub myself?

In most cases, you will need at least 3–4 capable adults to help move the hot tub safely. For more difficult access, we recommend arranging professional assistance.

Can the hot tub be rolled into position?

No — wood fired hot tubs are not designed to be rolled into place. Moving the tub incorrectly can cause damage. The hot tub should always be lifted or carefully guided into position using appropriate methods.

Why does the hot tub arrive on its side?

To ensure safe transport and to fit within delivery vehicle constraints, hot tubs are typically delivered on their side and securely strapped to a pallet. This is normal and helps prevent damage during transit.

What if access to my garden is difficult?

If there are obstacles such as narrow pathways, steps or tight turns, you may need to arrange a crane lift or specialist moving equipment to position the hot tub safely. We can help you arrange this.
